A topical antifungal agent in a specialised delivery system for treating fungal nail infections ( onychomycosis )

One of the difficulties in eradicating fungal infections in nails is that the infection can take weeks or months to treat well , and that the same time period applies as the infection grows out of the nail. It is also helpful to have some system so that the active antifungal agent can have prolonged contact with the seat of the infection. Batrafen Nail Lacquer achieves this with a complete treatment pack containing a nail lacquer ( enamel), nail files, and alcohol wipes. The nail lacquer contains the active antifungal (ciclopirox 80mg/g), and the nail lacquer prolongs contact time with the nail.

Notes
Prolonged treatment is often necessary – up to months in the case of severe cases ( after all, one’s nails only grow at approximately 2 mm per month ). As no clinical data is available, we cannot recommend the use of this product in children, or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
The solution can dry out, so be sure to seal the bottle after each use.
Usually well tolerated – some redness and scaling can occur if the lacquer comes into contact with skin adjacent to the nail.

Each pack contains one 3g solution.
